Brødrene Andreassen is located in the island Værøy in Lofoten. Surrounded by cold clear water, clean air and with the best fishing grounds in the immediate vicinity, we have specialized in traditional fish, with Stockfish and the Norwegian speciality " lutefisk" as our main product.
Geografisk beskyttet betegnelse
Lofoten dry fish is a unique quality product, and was the first of two Norwegian food products that have received Protected geographical indication (PGI) and are in line with products such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Balsamico di Modena.
In 2007, dried fish from Lofoten received Geographical Protected Designation in Norway and corresponding legal protection in the EU with PGI in 2014.
